  1. With not having any understanding of C (I'm teaching myself Swift), I'm struggling a bit to get around this one - but ideally would love to be able to expose some of the functionality in the Free.
  2. Test for IPv6 DNS64/NAT64 Compatibility Regularly. The easiest way to test your app for IPv6 DNS64/NAT64 compatibility—which is the type of network most cellular carriers are deploying—is to set up a local IPv6 DNS64/NAT64 network with your Mac. You can then connect to this network from your other devices for testing purposes. See Figure 10-6.

I used windows disc to format both drives and install the OS. W10 defaults to a GPT-only EFI installation on a Mac, unless the partitioning forces it to use legacy BIOS. Devices and Mac OS X version

VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. It runs on any Mac with a 64-bit Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip. Previous devices are supported by older releases.
Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Please use version 2.0.10 linked below.

If you need help in finding the correct package matching your Mac's processor architecture, please see this official support document by Apple.

Web browser plugin for Mac OS X

Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. It will not receive any further updates.
