Hero Generations (itch) Mac OS
A downloadable terrible mistake for Windows, macOS, and Linux
The new generation Apple macbooks and macbook pros released late 2008 are incompatible with version 1.0.3 and lower. There are undocumented changes in version of OSX that ships with these computers that break compatibility with the VCI-300 and the ITCH software provided in the box. Reviews: 'Legends of Pixelia plays like a beat 'em up dressed in rogue-like dungeons. The systems that are in place are really solid, and the gameplay ideas come through in the form of a fun, multiplayer beat em' up in a dungeons-and-dragons-like vibe.' Hero Generations: Regen An innovative Roguelike / 4X Strategy game where every turn is one year of your life. You explore and build upon a procedurally generated world in search of fame and a mate to have a child with before you die. The ultimate remake, ReGen is jam packed with new redesigned, re-tuned, and enhanced features.
(This is probably not a remake of Mystic Quest.)

Real-Talk Features
- No attempts to be clever in terms of gameplay.
- Poor (but totally working) attempts to keep puzzles as standard as possible.
- No clever updates.
- No try-hard areas.
- No balancing.
- Stunning RTP graphics!
- A direct 1-to-1 philosophy.
- Toggleable dialog between 'Memes' and 'Normal' - two completely different stories in one game. The 'Meme Story' is default.
The Inevitable Questions
1. Why did you make THIS game?
Because like everyone stuck at home during the COVID-19 quarantine, I had to find some hobby into which I could pour my time. This game was made entirely during the pandemic.
2. Is this a remake? Seriously? First of all, the title is different! There's a colon in the title sometimes. And, the hero in the image looks nothing like that other guy, because our guy has a pipe and mustache. To top it off, all of the monsters are all significantly different. Take a look at some of the totally original and certainly not ripped monsters you'll encounter.
3. Anything different?
Again, totally original. I'm sure this won't remind you of a particular game.
4. Is this a remaster?
Anything I make can only ever be seriously considered an 'unmaster' or a 'demaster.'
5. When will it be finished?
It is finished. Download it and see.
6. Is there a better Q&A I can consult?
Maybe. Hard to recall, though. It might be in the files of the game somewhere, probably in a QA directory.
7. Is this for sale?
Nah, you can have it for free.
8. Why'd you pick pink for the sidebars?
All for the sake of subliminal messaging.
9. Will you update the game?
I would seriously not bank on that. Maybe? If there's something major. Or minor. Yeah, probably.

I wish I didn't just accidentally find this on gamefaqs 10 minutes after I beat Mystic Quest again. I'm super curious about the secret dungeons and bosses.
Isn't that always the way stuff like this works? :P
The encouragement I can give you is that Meme Mode changes every box of dialog in the story, so it should feel different. Also, my game undoubtedly runs faster, so it shouldn't take you as long. And, I will say (rather uncharacteristically of me) that I am very proud of those extras.
I'm gonna download this to play, next time I get the itch to run through it.
Help! I'm … not sure how the heck to get the chest behind those barrels? I tried jumping and I can't seem to push them… ?
AHA! I got it.
Silly Platformer about a pizza chef having a bad day.
Art, code and music by me during the game jam week. Completed for the Wildot gamejam in Godot.
Hero Generations (itch) Mac Os Download
I had a lot of fun building this out and learned a lot about godot.. If people like it I think there will be a sequel, with more pigeons and more peril!
It runs fine on browser for most people but if you have trouble running it in the browser try downloading the executable for your OS.

What a wonderful game! You inspired me that for the next Godot Wild Jam, I'm definitely doing a side-scrolling platformer!
Everything seems nearly perfect, though I have not made it to the end yet...I'll be back to get that Oregano, for sure!
Thank you! I look forward to your future Godot platformer
Very awesome game! The idea of pigeons being the ones who can make you fail is hilarious - initially it wasn't obvious, but then... They kill you! Nice pixel art, nice music and overall fun.
To the sequel it would be good if there was none or less leaps of faith. There are some jumps that if you don't know the level beforehand you have a lot of probability to fail.
Also the final boss is cool, however if his bullets had some kind of telegraph - a sound, for example - it would help pass over him after a tough level (however I liked it and completed twice just for fun).

Thank you! I did want to add sound to the bullet seeds but ran out of time, I will add that after the gamejam voting is over.
