The Happy Mac icon was the normal bootup screen of the Macintosh, it was also used on floppy disks of System softwares. The Mac OS logo and rebranding marks it's debut on version 7.5.1. Released on March 23, 1995. This logo was used for the Mac OS X v10.0, code-named 'Cheetah', and v10.1, code-named 'Puma'. These versions were preceded by the Mac OS X Public Beta, code-named 'Kodiak'. Easily check which versions of mac OS, iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS are compatible with your Mac model or iDevice. Guide includes OS X 10.8.x to macOS 11.0.x. Downloaded the iso image and proceeded to make a Mac OS X bootable USB on windows. To create a bootable media to install Mac OS X leopard on my old macbook A1181. I used imageusb and installed. I was very happy to find this 10.5.4 version which worked perfectly. Many thanks to all. OS X Puma Beta was the next update to Mac OS X. This time around, Apple focused on improving performance and removing bugs. Overall, it was a much more refined operating system compared to Cheetah and Windows XP.

Mac OS X Kodiak 10.0 Betas

OS X 'Kodiak' Beta was the first glimpse into what Apple had planned for the next decade. It offered Developers helpful insights into how they needed to style their applications. In the final beta, they renamed the project to its public name, Cheetah.
